Quality control methods
Our world class manufacturing facility in Brisbane, Australia manufacturers and packs a number of Bio-Organics products in-house. All other products in the range are manufactured in GMP (Good Manufacturing Practise) licensed Australian facilities with strict control measures to meet our exacting requirements. These state of the art manufacturing facilities are backed up by world class laboratories to ensure you have the confidence in the products you purchase.
All of our products are carefully prepared following quality control methods - testing every stage of the manufacturing process to ensure safety and consistency. This is completed in accordance with the principles of GMP.
Our rigorous quality system includes testing of the raw materials, in-process checks during manufacture, and the finished product to ensure reliability. In fact, even the simplest products in the range undergo inspection at 11 stages including a minimum of 63 separate tests.

Bio-Organics Super Liquid Fish Oil is a good example of quality control. It uses modern techniques in Fish Oil purification and laboratory testing processes to provide a superior concentrated fish oil to people all around Australia. Quality is important to us right through the process, from sourcing the fish oil to packing the product.
Source of Omega 3 Fish Oil
- Small varieties of wild pelagic fish, including anchovies and sardines are caught from the Atlantic & Pacific Oceans.
- Marine resources are monitored in accordance with international regulations.
- Contains a blend of high quality concentrated and natural fish oil, sourced from world leading fish oil suppliers EPAX and GC RIEBER.
Purification, concentration & testing
- Strict control of the quality of the crude oil is maintained. It is analysed for pesticides, heavy metals and contaminants. Small amounts present in the crude oil are removed during processing.
- An important measure for the quality of the fish oil is the levels of Anisidine and Peroxide. The lower these levels are, the higher the quality of fish oil.
- The concentrated omega-3 fish oil is purified through molecular distillation.
Antioxidant protection
- Mixed tocopherols, d- alpha tocopherol (a natural form of vitamin E) are added to the individual oils for enhanced antioxidant protection.
- The glass bottles are flushed and packaged under the protection of a nitrogen blanket to maintain stability until opened.
- Nitrogen reduces oxidation, helping protect the fish oil.
